Kaneen

Kaneen began dancing at the tender age of three studying Ballet, Tap, Modern and Freestyle. Into adulthood she progressed onto Street Dance and Pole Dance before discovering the beautiful art of Belly Dance which became her true passion. Whilst she loves the intricate technique of traditional Arabic Belly Dance, she thrives on creating diverse fusions with influences from Hip Hop, Samba and Bollywood.

Kaneen teaches Belly Dance and Belly Dance Fusion all over London. She also performs regularly throughout the UK at weddings and parties and has worked with many prestigious clients including Channel 4, Sadie Frost, Movida, Cancer Research and Fitness TV.

Marsha Ramlogan

Hailing from the vibrant Caribbean nation of Trinidad & Tobago, Marsha’s
passion for dancing, performance and spectacle led her to perform in the
World Famous Carnival annually since she was a teenager. Her love for
‘fusion’ music was borne from that young age as Carnival features a cocktail
of popular dance styles (soca / hip-hop / chutney / dancehall) – enabling
her to have a good ear for catchy global beats. This was a key reason for
Marsha gravitating towards the exotic and sultry world of Arabic Belly Dance
when she moved to London.

Since then, Marsha has been hooked and subsequently inspired to fuse
traditional belly dance (sometimes incorporating props such as swords and
veils) with all other genres of dance and has since qualified to be a Belly
Dance teacher.

“Surprising” and “beautiful” are words often used to describe her
performances and her passion is to fuse unexpected dance forms with more
traditional belly dance, creating a modern twist while still remaining true
to the art of the dance. Performing in front of enthusiastic crowds is one
of Marsha’s favourite things and she is motivated by being able to lure
others into the world of Belly Dance, which has become such an integral part
of her life.
